1830

Our Purpose

1830 Young Adults"To provide an environment where young adults 18 to 30 years of age can connect with one another through the love of Christ, serve each other and the community, and grow spiritually through the living Word of God."

Our Priorities

  • Connect -This is simply "doing life" together through developing relationships and being there for one another in a relevant and genuine way.
  • Serve - We seek to fulfill the call to serve those less fortunate than ourselves through community outreaches and by just being there for each other in whatever capacity possible.
  • Grow - We want to learn what the Word says about the normal day-to-day things that we encounter each day. "How does it talk to my problems and issues in a way that I can relate to?" We answer this question in several different formats: Video teaching with group discussion, small group type sessions, and also Bible-based teaching by one of our passionate teachers.

Jon & Rebekah
1830 is led by Pastor Jonathan Slider and his wife Rebekah. They have two beautiful children and live in Virginia Beach. Their passion is to see change in a generation that is seeking truth in any place they can find it. Their prayer is that 1830 can be a pathway for young adults to find the truth in a way that is nonthreatening and relevant to each person’s walk of life regardless of where each person is in life.
